Precious Memories of Messenger

First, a big thank you!

I would like to personally thank every one that ever worked under the banner of Messenger. This includes Alfi, Donna, Brendan, Matthew R, Jacinta, Oussa, Brett, Chris, Jason, Brian, Dan, Don, Danielle and Andrew (Gogs).

I would like to especially thank those that where there at the dramatic end on 24 Febuary, 2003 for their patience and understanding when I had to give the terrible news that our mighty little Messenger company was to broken up, sold off and then closed down. This especially includes Stacey (who stayed on until May), David and Gareth (who stayed on until June) and Wayne and Georgina (who stayed on until July). But my thanks also goes to Joel, Emma, Adam, Ben, Benj, Matthew, Gavin, Ross, Nicole who stayed until February. And I would especially like to thank my parents Tony and Georgina for supporting through this most trying of times.

A lot of time has past and I after a few months of self healing, am back to my usual extroverted self. But this time I am a whole lot wiser. And even though Messenger was broken up and sold off, it never did get completely closed down...

Only time will tell what is really to become of that great little company and all the fine professionals that worked so hard in it! It really was the mouse that roared!

IMMC 2002
Operation Blade
Gareth, Wayne and I did so well with the Maintenance Journal in 2002 that the client took us to the Gold Coast to assist in the International Management Maintenance Conference. We got to meet up with Andrew and Dan and had a great time with lots of adventures. The most famous episode was the three of us driving over 90 km from the Gold Coast to Brisbane by moped!
